A recognition we are truly proud of: Scapin Bamboo Rods has been selected by Fondazione Symbola among the one hundred excellences that tell the best of Italian sport.
The recognition
In October 2025, Fondazione Symbola — the Foundation for Italian Qualities — published its research 100 Storie Italiane di Sport (100 Italian Sport Stories), a selection of companies and makers that represent the excellence of Made in Italy in the world of sport through vision, expertise and innovation.
Among those one hundred stories is ours: thirty years of handmade Tonkin bamboo fly rods, built one at a time in our workshop in San Giorgio delle Pertiche, near Padua.

What it means to us
For a rodmaker, every rod is a balance of harmony, proportion and performance — almost a musical score. Seeing this work recognised alongside the finest Italian sport stories confirms that craftsmanship, when it pursues quality without compromise, is itself a form of sport: discipline, research, the perfect gesture.
